CITY POLICE COURT

In the City Police Court yesterday, before Messrs T. D. Jamieson and T. D. B. Paterson, J.P.’s, a middle-aged man was charged with the theft of £l2 17s 9d, the property of the Post-master-general. The accused, whose name was ordered to be suppressed in the meantime, was represented by Mr J. P. Ward. On the application of Detective Sergeant J. Gibson the accused was remanded until next Monday, bail being allowed in the sum of £SO, with one surety of £SO, the accused to report twice a week to the police.
