VERA de ORO SUCCESSFUL (P.A.) GREYMOUTH, Oct. 22. The first day of the Greymouth Trotting Club's spring meeting was held in fine weather, and the track was in good order, in spite of recent rain. There was a large attendance, and the totaiisator increase was £2314 10s, last year’s figure being I £18.301. I

Holmes, attempted to break the track record of 2min ssec, established in 1933 by Harold Logan, but, facing a strong easterly wind, recorded 2min 7sec. The time for the first half was lmin 2sec.
