KILLED ROMMEL
EIGHTH AIR FORCE PILOTS (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 20. Eighth Tactical Air Force pilots, under Wing Commander Johnnie Baldwin, D. 5.0., and D.F.C. and bar, killed Field Marshal Rommel, says the Daily Express. An official investigation, coupled with a check of pilots’ logbooks. established that it was they who on Tuesday shot up a staff car, corresponding with a description of Rommel's. in the area where the Germans admit he was killed.
