STORMY WEATHER
HEAVY RAIN AT AUCKLAND THIRTEEN WET DAYS THIS MONTH (P.A.) AUCKLAND. Oct. 22. About three inches of rain, accompanied by a strong north-east wind, low clouds, lightning and thunder, and warm temperatures have been experienced in Auckland in the last three days. After 13 wet days 7in of rain has been recorded this month, the .wettest for three years. Lightning this afternoon blew out 13 transformer fuses and interrupted the electric supply to three; large suburbs for a short time. Some sports fixtures have been postponed.
