WIN FOR ALEXANDRA A cricket match between Alexandra and North-East Valley was played on Saturday, Alexandra winning by three wickets and 65 runs. North-East Valley batted first and made 115 runs, J. Cullen (59), F. Hughes (19). and T. Hughes (12) being the principal scorers. Bowling for Alexandra. O’Reilly took six wickets for six runs. Alexandra replied with a total of 180 runs for seven wickets (declared), B. Johns (38 retired). J. Gourley (34), and N. Prince (20) being the most successful batsmen. Bowling for North-East Valley, T. Hughes took two wickets for 16 runs, and V. Howard two for 33.
