(Special) BALCLUTHA. Oct. 21. The yarding of sheep at the Balclutha stock sale yesterday was a small one. Heavy fat wethers made from 38s to 495; light, 31s to 345; heavy ewes, 30s to 40s; and light, 19s to 265; fat hoggets, 25s to 335. ... Store Sheep.—Full-mouth ewes with lambs at foot, all counted, made from 16s 6d to 20s, with poorer sorts down to 13s 6d; good wether hoggets, to 28s 4d; small ewe hoggets, to 325. Fat Cattle.—There were no bullocks forward. Fat cows realised up to £9 17s 6d, and light heifers from £5 10s to £6 10s. , „ , Store Cattle.—Good forward bullocks realised from £l3 10s to £ls; yearling steers, £4 to £6 3s; 12 to 18-month heifers, £4 10s to £6. Pigs.—There was a good penning, and suckers sold at rates up to 345.
