AID FOR GREECE
CANADA’S CONTRIBUTION
Up to March 31 Canada has (the High Commissioner for that Dominion reports) given approximately 13,250.000 dollars for Greek war relief. This assistance dates back to August, 1942, when the Dominion Government undertook to supply 15,000 tons of wheat monthly as a gift from the people. The outlay under this head to the end of the last financial year totalled 11,500,000 dollars. In addition, the Canadian section of the Greek War Relief Fund . has contributed 1,500,000 dollars in supplies, and the Canadian Red Cross has contributed 250,000 dollars.
