STATE THEATRE
AN OUTSTANDING COMEDY A comedy film of outstanding entertainment value. “Hi Diddle Diddle,” with Adolphe Menjou and Martha Scott in the title roles, supported by a talented cast, including Pola Negri, Dennis O’Keefe, Billie Burke and June Havoc, heads the new bill shown at the State Theatre yesterday. For this picture the producer, Mr Andrew Stone, selected a particularly strong cast, and he certainly provided all the elements for fast and furious fun. Indeed, each person in the cast plays a part written to his or her own specifications. Adolphe Menjou, star of the comedy, who is always seen as the suave, sophisticated, proper man-about-town, dons a new guise. He appears as a graceful rogue who lives by his wits. Martha Scott, who has never before been anything like her real self on the screen, finally has a chance to reveal her own delightful personality. The box plans are at the theatre and Begg’s.
