FLYING BOMBS
LAUNCHED FROM HEINKELS (Rec, 11 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 6. Flying bombs came over Southern England, including the London area, last night for the first time since early on September 30. They were apparently launched from Heinkel carriers which ranged along the coast and released their robots almost simultaneously. The attack occurred well before the moon rose, at one of the darkest hours of the night. One bomb exploded in a street, demolishing several houses. Another fell in a garden, and two were shot down over open country.
