AMERICAN PRODUCTION ARMAMENT FACTORIES CLOSED NEW YORK, (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) June 19. Thousands of skilled war workers who have been thrown out of work from armament factones that .have been closed will* soon be engaged in peace-time production. A start will be made within 10 weeks on the limited production of domestic refrigerators, washing machines and electric irons. The War Production Board announced that refrigerators and washing machines will be available to the public this year. The chairman of the board, Mr Donald Nelson, said manufacturers henceforth would be given men and materials to make working models of any post-wai product they planned.
