ON ALL FRONTS
BLOWS AGAINST GERMANY BATTLES SHAPING UP WASHINGTON, June 13. “ General Eisenhower told me that the battles are shaping up to strike against the Germans on all fronts,’ said President Roosevelt at a press conference. “Complete unity between the ground, naval, and air services prevails. “ General Eisenhower said the crossChannel operations were fought under hazards greater than ever before faced by an invading army. These operations are only part of a far larger pattern of combined assault against the fortress of Germany by the great Russian armies from the east and by our forces from the Mediterranean,” he added. “The Nazis will be forced to fight throughout the perimeter of their stronghold. They will daily expend their dwindling resources until overwhelmed by the hopelessness of their position.”
