MILK PRODUCERS
NEED FOR CO-OPERATIpN URGED
An outline of the methods of the Wellington Dairy Farmers’ Co-operative Milk Supply Association and the relations between the producers, producer-vendors, and vendors, was given by Mr J. Maher, chairman of directors of the association, in an address to about 17 city milk producers yesterday. Mr J. Penno, of Halfway Bush, was chairman. The association, Mr Maher said, was a truly co-operative concern and he stressed the advantages of this system. In the past the producer had been a forgotten man. Now his status must be raised and he must no longer be permitted to be a “ political football.”
