The June meeting of the Womens Christian Temperance Union was held on Monday afternoon, Miss C. J. Cowan presiding. Devotions were taken by Mrs Hah A letter of thanks was received from the secretary of the Townswomen's Guild for a donation of £6, and for a donation to the Mavor Triplets Fund. White Ribbon Day was observed, and an appropriate paper on the subject was read by Mrs Cropp. A temperance extract was read by Miss E. Thomson. A collection amounting to £1 was taken up for the " White Ribbon.”
