WESTFIELD DISPUTE
DEADLOCK CONTINUES (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 12. No developments occurred to-day in the deadlock ever the wages dispute between the beef shacklers and the management of the Westfield Freezing Works. The beef slaughtering floor has now been idle for a full fortnight. No negotiations have been conducted since a week last Friday, when the parties failed to agree. Although rumours were current that the Federation of Labour was likely to intervene in an endeavour to bring about a settlement no request for a resumption of negotiations has been received by the works management:
