Dissatisfaction with the egg rationing system was expressed at a meeting of the executive of the Auckland Returned Services’ Association. A doctor's certificate that a war pensioner was suffering from anxiety neurosis and should receive up to six eggs a week was produced, and it was reported that the pensioner had been refused a ration of eggs by the Rationing Controller. The matter was referred to the Dominion Executive.
