ART EXHIBITION
The winter sketch exhibition at present on view in the Otago Art Society’s room in Dowling street is the annual function which affords the public the opportunity to view the work of Otago artists. There are some charming bush scenes, for which Dunedin surroundings offer wide scope, but on this occasion the subject matter is broadened by figure and portrait work, and still life studies in both oil and water colours. Black and white pencil drawings are also an attractive feature. The art union in connection with the display will be drawn to-morrow night, and the exhibition will close on Thursday.
