PAS DE CALAIS AREA
RAIDED BY LIBERATORS RUGBY, Apl. 17. Liberators of the Eighth Air Force, escorted by Thunderbolts, attacked military installations in the Pas de Calais area this afternoon without encountering any enemy fighters, states headquarters of the United States Strategic Air Force in Europe. They ran through light flak. All the aircraft returned safely.
