The following quotations per 1001 b for beef and per lb for mutton and pigs are supplied, with a comparison with last week’s prices, by our special representative at yesterday’s Burnside stock

The yarding was composed mostly of ewes of varying quality, for which there was a fairly steady demand throughout, There was a small display of wethers, Including a limited number of good quality, for which there was a particularly good sale. The class of the yarding was medium and poor. Prime lambs. 28s 6d to 32s 6d; medium, 25s to 26s 6d; light, from 215.Store Cattle.—There was practically nothing in this section, while the yarding of vealers was somewhat smaller than that of a week ago. Values for these were 15s to 20s per head lower. Best vealers realised from £4 15s to £5 10s; medium. £2 16s to £3 7s; and small from 375. pigs.—There was a small entry of baeone r s, with a few pens of good quality. The demand was again keen, with a' good steady sale throughout. Best baeoners realised to £7 6s; prime, £5 17s to £6 12s; medium, £5 to £5 ss; and light from £4 14s. The yarding of store pigs was a small one, and the demand was poor. Good stores made up to 255, while good weaners realised from 15s to 17s.
