BOARD IN COMMITTEE
Before a motion t’o go into committee was put to the Oamaru Harbour Board meeting yesterday. Mr A. Mclnnes asked tlio chairman (Mr G. T. Gillies) what was the use of going into committee when everything done in committee was given out in public. Mr Gillies replied that lie had endeavoured, as chairman, to do his utmost, but if members saw fit to disclose what had been discussed in committee he could not do anything further about it.
