(Special) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 11. Edward gave a dashing display in a school over four brush fences this morning. S. Barr has him in great order and he looks a good steeplechase prospect for the winter. In the meantime, he is being got ready for a trip to Riverton at Easter. , . , H Nurse is making some progress, and though he may be in hospital for some time yet, he has had visitors in the last day or two. .... , D Cotton had his three horses on the track this morning. They look well after their recent racing, and they will be got readv for autumn engagements. In spite of rumours that he intended to settle in the North Island, Cotton has no intention of leaving Riccarton at present. Scottish Dale gave he elf a slight rick this week and she is on the easy list a few days. It is unlikely that she will do any more raring after Easter, the intention being to retire her to the stud jones has Iceland Spar back in stable He looks in good health after spelling since August, but it is by no moans certain that he will stand up to a preparation.
