We know that M. Blum, with the aid of the 40-hour week and socialism betrayed and brought France to her knees, the French refused to work until it was too late. Under the staggering effect of socialism New Zealand has become a seething mass of discontent. Loyal men and women, ex-servicemen, and even girls are being bludgeoned into servility. Farmers, frustrated and hamstrug by Government regulations, in their efforts to increase production see the fruits of their physical and intellectual labour snatched from them by destructive taxation, the aim of which is to equalise wealth, destroy the very meaning of property, and reduce society to the lowest common denominator. The monstrous activities of our socialist administrators have duped the masses and betrayed us into the hands of racketeers and industrial unions.
