CLINTON STOCK SALE

At the Clinton sale yesterday a moderate entry of sheep, mainly lambs, came forward. Buyers were chiefly interested m the best-conditioned lines, which sold at satisfactory rates. Backward types met with a more restricted inquiry. As transport was available, outside buyers were able to operate, and their competition helped to keep the market at a, steady level. Best forward lambs ..sold to 19s 6d; good-conditioned tussock lambs, 17s; medium and backward lambs', 12s; good cull wether lambs, 10s to 10s 8d; . and young wethers, 22s 6d.
