NEW HEADMASTER Mr D. S. McNaughton was welcomed by the chairman (Mr R. H. Watson) at the monthly meeting of the South School Committee. In reply to the committee’s representations the Oamaru Borough Council advised that the question of control' of movements of stock in the streets adjacent to the school had been referred to the inspector for attention. The secretary (Mr C. Holier) was requested to take up with the Otago Education Board the question of accommodation for classes during the period when the new school is being built.
