EVACUATION OF TOWNS

SEQUEL TO RUSSIAN RAIDS LONDON, Feb. 8. The Finnish Government has ordered the immediate evacuation of all important towns in Southern Finland. This action follows the heavy Russian raids on Helsinki on Sunday night. The Leingrad radio to-day said that Russian bombers heavily raided Riga, the capital of Latvia, and seriously damaged the airfield. They also again raided Tallinan, the capital of Estonia. Swedish commentators say the raids on Helsinki were made for political rather than for military reasons.
