SICK AND WOUNDED

SMALL PARTY RETURNS A small party of sick and wounded from the combat zone in the Pacific returned to Dunedin by the express last evening. All were walking cases, and after arrival they were taken to their homes by members of the transport detachment of the Red Cross Society. The men were met on the station by Lieutenant H. J. Moynihan (Area XI records officer), Mr N. D. Anderson (Mayor of St. Kilda), Mr O. G. Ferens (R.S.A.), and Mr N. H. Ellis (Rehabilitation Department and 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association), The members of the party were as follows: —Captain J. L. Befry, 24 Driver’s road; Private H. J. Longworth, 189 Main North road; Gunner A. C. Shaw, 76 Glasgow street; Gunner D. G. Woods, 18 Owen street, Burnside, and Private S. J. Snell, Outram.
