OBITUARY
MRS CATHERINE WALLACE
The death occurred at Arun street, Oamaru, on December 29, of Mrs Catherine Wallace, widow of Mr John Wallace and daughter of the late Mr and Mrs A. Wilson, of Mabel Bush, Southland. Born in Scotland in 1875, Mrs Wallace came to New Zealand at the age of three years. She was married on January 1, 1900, and came to live at Tokarahi, where she and her husband carried on farming until 1923, when they retired to live in Oamaru. Mrs Wallace was an active member of Columba Church. Her husband died on July 1, 1943, and she is survived by two daughter*;, Mrs G. Dorward, Oamaru, and Sister A. W. Wallace, at present in Italy, and two sons, Private A. W. Wallace, N.Z.M.C., and Mr W. H. Wallace, Georgetown.
