DURATION OF WAR

CANADIAN LEADER’S VIEWS

(Rec. 0.45 a.m.) OTTAWA, Nov. 15. The Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King, denied saying that the war might be over any day now, as reported by the Premier of Quebec, Mr Adelard Godbout. Mr Mackenzie King added: “ Nobody can predict the length of the war. A supreme effort has still to be made against Germany. I agree with Mr Churchill’s warning that the European campaign in 1944 will be the severest and costliest in lives of any we have yet fought.”
