FOOD FOR INDIA
SOUTH AFRICA’S OFFER (Rec. 11 p.m.) NEW DELHI, Oct. 21. Field-marshal' Smuts, on behalf of the Union Government, offered India substantial quantities of food, including grains and milk powder. The Indian Government expressed appreciation of the humane offer and immediately called upon the Indian High Commissioner in South Africa to arrange for the transport of foodstuffs.
