N.Z. AIR FORCE BAND
TO-MORROW NIGHT’S CONCERT “LORDS OF THE AIR ” To-morrow’s R.N.Z.A.FI band concert in the Main Town Hall brings to Dunedin incomparable musical entertainment, with which will be associated the 200-voice Air Force Choir —the male combination that enjoyed instant public acceptance at the Liberty Loan concert. A highlight of the Air Force Choir will be the singing of “ Lords of the Air’’ (200 voices) with accompaniment by the Air Force Band. Squadron Leader G. J. Mitchell, of the Royal Canadian Air Force, will render two organ solos, and Squadron Leader A. Sherrett will sing a bracket of three songs. Last time this band was here, hundreds of people were unable to gain admission. As there is to be only one concert in Dunedin, it would be wise to make reservations at Begg’s without further delay. The prices are ss. 3s, and 2s, and all seats, including 2s" seats, are bookable at Begg’s at no extra cost. In addition to enjoying “ 18 carat ’’ entertainment, those who attend the concert will have the satisfaction of knowing that they are subscribing to “ Comforts for Flyers.” This Air Force Concert in the Main Town Hall -to-morrow is being presented as part of the All Purposes (1943) Patriotic Appeal.—l7/8/43,
