TROTTING NOTES
Acceptances for the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting are due to-morrow. Nominations for the two trotting events on the Otago Hunt Club's card are due to-morrow. Burt Scctt contested no fewer than 19 races last season, his record being three wins, two seconds, and two thirds.
Joan Conquest, who is on 24 yards, Is one of the early favourites for the August Handicap at Addington next Saturday. The Jack Potts mare won five races last season and looks sure to add to her record early In the new season. More, than 50 pacers have been entered for the non-totalisator Maiden Handicap which is to be run at Addington. The race will be divided, one section being allotted to each day. Blair Athol, who has been in retirement for some time, figures in the entry list for the Free-for-All at Addington. Nelson Eddy is booked to make a reappearance after a shorter holiday. Neither raced last season.
