ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A FRACTURED LEG > Mr George Masters, living at Green Island Bush, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 7.15 p.m. yesterday suffering from fractures of both bones of the right leg, received when a drum of pig food fell on him at his farm.
WOMAN KILLED BY TRAIN
(P.A.) WAIPUKURAU, Aug. 13. While alighting at Takapau from the Wellington-Napier train yesterday afternoon, Miss Margaret May Prescott stepped in front of a rake of trucks which was being shunted on to another line and received fatal injuries.
