NAVY LEAGUE NOTES
It is very desirable that as many knitted comforts as possible should be in by the end of the month, especially those destined for overseas. The committee would be glad if sea-boot stocking knitters would notice that in the directions for doing the, tee the decreasing is very gradual, and 12 stitches on both sides
should be left for either grafting or casting off. If this is hot done it makes too sharp a toe, and the foot is out of proportion. A welcome gift has been received from an enthusiastic group of workers. A ship expressed a desire for a musical instrument, if it could possibly be provided, and this group has sent in twd ukeleles. A number of spinners from the Balclutha Spinning Centre spent the greater part of one day last week in the Navy League spinning room. They were warmly welcomed, .and expressed appre-ciation-of the opportunity afforded them to obtain practical help and advice from the Navy League workers.
