Tire programme consisted of unaccompanied male quartets, vocal solos, instrumental duets, vocal duets, elocutionary items, pianoforte duet, gypsy scena, and a military pageant. The last two items were particularly well staged, and reflected great credit on one of the sisters in the Queenstown Convent who trained the participants. Among the artists taking part in the concert was Miss Lilian McDonald, who kindly came from Timaru to help the effort. The art union was drawn at the conclusion of the concert, and the winner was Miss Monica Donnelly, of Matakanui.
