FAT STOCK VALUES

SLIGHT DECLINE IN LEVEL The entries in the major sections at the Burnside market yesterday were larger than those of the previous week. Fat cattle barely maintained last week's high values, and fat sheep, which were above requirements, also showed a decline. Baconers were in smaller supply, and consequently prices showed an improvement on last week’s. Fat Cattle.—The entry numbered 370 head, compared with 325 last week. There were a number of pens of quality cattle, particularly in the prime heavy and prime section. The great bulk of the yarding, however, was made up of medium and ordinary descriptions, the latter no doubt being due to ihe severe weather, clients being forced on to the market through lack of feed.
