FILM OF DESERT WARFARE One of the outstanding novels of the war, John Brophy’s “ Immortal Sergeant.” has been brought to the screen by 20th Century-Fox, and the Dunedin eeason will open at the Octagon Theatre to-mor-row. The stars are Henry Fonda and Maureen O'Hara, who' are said to play their respective roles .to perfection. Set in North Africa, the picture depicts the. events whch led to the rout of Marshal Rommel. It is a graphic portrayal of desert warfare, and in its stark realism shows many of the hardships and trials of the soldiers' cif.. the- .-United '.Nations.
