EARLY SETTLERS
MEETING OF COMMITTEE The monthly meeting of the committee of the Otago Early Settlers' Association was held on Monday, there being present— Messrs J. W. Patton (in the chair), J. Dey R. T. Stewart, W. J. Strong, A. F. Cheyne, F. W. Knight, J. Hope, D. J. Calder, C. Morris, \V. R. Brugh, F. H, Campbell, H. C. King, and the treasurer and secretary. , , . , .. Gifts ' were acknowledged from the following:—Miss Kelsey. Mrs A. C. Stewart. Mesirs G. C. Thompson, J. W. Patton, G. A. Benfell, J. C. H. Somerville, Philip George, and T. M. B. Muir. The deaths of the , following early settlers v/ere recorded during the month: Miss E. Selby. Mrs Elizabeth D. Morrison, and Malcolm Ferguson. Ten new members were enrolled, all being descendants of early settlers.
