Mr G. R. Ritchie left yesterday for Wellington. Messrs P. Neilson, M.P., and M. Connelly, M.L.C., left yesterday for Wellington.

Mr John Fuess, American Vice-consul at Belfast, who has been transferred to Auckland, will leave shortly (says a special message from London) .to take up his new appointment. Mr W. F. Bisset, of Invercargill, was a passenger by the through express yesterday on his way to Wellington to attend a meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association.

The Industrial Man-power Appeal Committee—Messrs M. W. Grantham (chairman), S. D. Macpherson, and H. H. Gillard—accompanied by the secretary (Mr W J. Mathers), will leave this morning to hold sittings at Milton, Balclutha, and Invercargill. The committee will return to Dunedin on Friday night.
