WEDDING
The marriage of Esma York, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs John Wilson, of Dunedin, to Robert Lownie, elder son of Mrs R. B. Clark and the late R. A. Clark, of Lower Hutt, was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church on Saturday evening The Rev. Ronald S. Watson officiated, and Miss May Farquharson was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a trained gown of cream embroidered anglaise, and carried a sheaf of arum lilies. She was attended by her sister Gwenda, who was gowned in pink embroidered anglaise, and carried a posy of pink roses to tone. Attending the bridegroom was Mr James McDougall as best man. During the signing of the register Mr Vernon Smith sang My Prayer.” After the ceremony a reception was held in Wilson Hall, where the guests were received by Mrs John Wilson, wearing black velvet and fur cape, and Mrs R. B. Clark, wearing a black ensemble During the breakfast vocal items were given by-Miss Gwenda Wilson and pianoforte items by Miss May Farquharson. Later, the guests adjourned to “ Scratnagh," Grant street, where an informal function was held. For travelling, the bride wore a green Harris tweed costume and tan accessories. The future hpme of Mr and Mrs R. L. Clark will be Lower Hutt. , V ’
