A Thorndon (Wellington) resident received cn May 14 a letter from a» Government department-which: was dated May 4, and -the envelope postmarked as having passed through the hands of the Post Office on three occasions before delivery was effected. The postmarks, all Wellington, were May 5. May 10, and May 13 respectively. The letter was fully and correctly addressed.
