MEETING ’OF COLLECTORS The annual meeting of collectors ,of the Bible Society of Otago and Southland was held o/Monday night, the president, Mr James Farquharson, presiding. -The speaker was Miss Arrowsmith, principal of the Presbyterian Women’s Training Institute, who for several years was engaged in the educational work of the English Presbyterian Mission in Amoy, China She described how the Scriptures ’ had been used in the conversion and transformation of men and wornen and young people, and how they in turn had then , bought and diligently distributed Scriptures among their friends. Miss Ruth Fawcett, the organising secretary, gave an instance of a blind Japanese student in Edinburgh who had received the M.A. degree with first class honours. He had become a Christian through reading the Braille Bible published by the Bible societies.
