Okarito Dredge.—A wash-up of 13oz is reported for 124 hours’ dredging (5100 yards). . Associated Gold Dredges.—The return for the week ended May 29 was 1750 z (88,760 yards, 360 hours).
Scott Bros., produce merchants and commission agents, registered egg and onion merchants, report:—Eggs: Pay-out values for consignments received May 24 to Mav 28 will be—Heavy 2s lid, standard 2s 9d, medium 2s 7d. Butter: Wanted; Is per lb. Poultry: Hens, 3s 3d to 4s 3d each: heavy breeds, 5s to 6s each; ducks, 3s 6d to 4s 6d each; ducklings, 5s to 6s each; goslings. 5s to 6s each; turkeys, to Is 2d per lb, live weights. Potatoes: Graded lots at fixed values; ungraded, nominally 6s to 7s cwt. Whole fowl wheat, 21s 6d to 24s per sack. Chaff: Prime oaten sheaf, £6 10s per ton, ex truck,' £7 15s ex store, bags extra. Whole maize, 8s per bushel. Partridge peas, 9s bushel. Oyster grit, 6s 6d per 1001 b bag. Straw: Whteaien. 2s 9d per bale; oaten 3s per bale, ex store. Canterbury onions, 17s 6d per cwt. Oat dust, 5s 6d per sack. Lucerne meal, 12s 6d per sack. Ground oats, 17s per 2001 b for pigs and poultry. We stock meatmeal, oyster grit, barley dust 10s Sd 1501 b, crushed bones, buttermilk, powder, etc. All eges graded to regulation—payments weekly. May 31, 1943.
