DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE There was increased business on the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday, a number of sales being reported. An active inquiry prevailed for Government stocks, other than the 2J or 3 per cent, issues, and business was reported in the 4 per cent. 1949-52 issue at £lO4. No offers were advanced for the 2J and 3 per cent, stocks. Little change was recorded in the banking section. National Banks were slightly easier, a sale being reported at 51s. The insurance, shipping, and meat preserving sections were unaltered. New Zealand Refrigerating paids were firmer, and were quoted at 25s 9d (buyers) and 26s 3d (sellers). The demand for woollen shares continued, but no sellers came forward. There were few sellers in the miscellaneous section, where the inquiry was at good prices.
