ANNUAL MEETING HELD, . The annual meeting of the Teviot Elec* trie Power Board was held., on : Wednesday last, There, were present—Dr J. R, Gi]mour ; --(chairman);-“-Messrs' ’Tr': P.: Michelle, _J. H. .Waigth, Ljun7;:J. George, and W. Johnstone. ■ It was reported that the revenue from the sale of electricity during the year amounted to £6822 '(excluding discounts), including bulk sales of £459, an increase of local sales of £2ll and a decrease of bulk sales of £277. The trading department showed a net profit of £lO3, as against last year’s profit of £l3B. -.Together with - sundry- revenue «;?04r* thff gross revenue for the year,, was. .£7128, the total for 1941-42 being £7189. Capital expenditure amounted to £316 (£435), and revenue expenditure to £6075 (£6225), of which amount debenture interest accounted for £1919 and sinking funds £lll4. During the year loan debentures to the value of £250 were \ redeemed from revenue and £B7OO from sinking funds. The highest peak recorded for local loading was 660 k.w., as against 580 for 1941-42. The highest peak on supply to the Central Otago Electric Power Board was 520 k.w., compared with 550 k.w. for the previous year. The total output of the plant was 790 k.w. Unit* generated were 6,369,920, an increase of 259,670 The percentage of electrical appliances in use by both domestic and commercial consumers included: Ranges 47.39, water-heaters 40.56, refrigerators 13.99, washers 11.04, and motors 40.56. At the monthly meeting of the board it was reported that receipts for the month amounted to £I2OB 4s lid, comprising electricity £777 17s 6d, wiring and showroom £425 11s sd, and sundriei £4 6s Bd. Accounts amounting to £2451 14s 7d were passed for payment. Of thl» amount, £734 13s represented debenture interest and £B3O 6s 3d sinking fundi.
