OLD BOYS. IN THE LEAD Ground overhead conditions were ideal for the continuance of the Association matches cn (Saturday. The Old Boys’ team is now in the lead, Ack-Ack, which shared first place, going down to the much-improved Roslyn-Wakari side. The game between High School Old Boys and Air Force was very fast and even throughout, Old Boys winning by 5 goals to 4. Dovcsett (2), Groves, Butterfield, and Nauman scored for Old Eoys, and Smith and Cohu for Air Force. Mr D. Rutherford was the referee. „ Northern defeated Caversham at Tonga Park by 4 goals to nil. There was no score in the first half, but McGregor and King each scored two goals in the second spell. Caversham missed many scoring opportunities. Mr J. Jeffery was the referee. Rcslvn-Wakari created a surprise by defeating Ack-Ack by 2 goals to nil. Ack-Ack had the superior combination, but strong'a.nd-tesolute defence prevented them from scoring. Mr J. Welsh was the referee. Mosgiel secured a runaway victory over Mornington when after a bright beginning the local teafn fell away and appeared to be hopelessly outclassed. The final score was: Mcsglel 10, Mornington 2. Mr F. Stanley was the referee. ' The game between Maori Hill and O.M.R. proved an interesting one, there being many thrilling exchanges. Maori Hill, which made the most of its opportunities, won by 4 goals to nil. The referee was Mr A. Riach. Junior Results Intermediate: High School 8, Mosgiel 3. Fourth Grade: Caversham 4, Mornington B 2. Fifth Grade: Northern 4, King’s 3; Mosgiel 5, Mornington B-3.
