“ PRACTICALLY UNBEATABLE ” LONDON, Apl. 29. "Germany will never give in,” declared Dr Goebbels in an article in Das Reich. “Britain at present is scoring only relative military successes. Britain, from an absolute standpoint, has done nothing so far but lose. If the war ended to-day we should have more absolute successes on our hands than the keenest optimist could have expected, whereas Britain’s balance sheet would show many more losses than were ever dreaded by the deepest pessimist. “We firmly hold the major part of Europe, and are practically unbeatable unless we give in voluntarily, which is absolutely out of the question. That should be clear to everybody, including our enemies, who allege that we put out peace feelers, so that they are able proudly to announce that they have scornfully rejected them. This plan is wishful thinking.”
