TROTTING NOTES
By Sentinel
The Forbury Park Club has received a fine list of acceptances for its meeting next Saturday, but although some of the fields will be on the unwieldy side, there will be no need for divisions. Warfield was a surprise defection from the principal event, but the field should provide a good contest, with the result very open. Joan Conquest is the early favourite for the Flying Handicap next Saturday. Scotch Music is a very much improved pacer who looks like going on to better things. The Grattan Loyal gelding is engaged at Forbury Park. Semper Fidelis, who was expected to race prominently at Beaumont, but did not appear to appreciate the going, is engaged at Invercargill to-day and at Forbury Park next Saturday. He is trained in Christchurch by G. Cameron. Taking a line through his Wyndham Cup win, Loyal King should be hard to beat in the Renown Handicap next Saturday. According to reports from the north the Dunedin-owned pacer has gone on the right way in the meantime.
