MAN-POWER DRIVE
AUSTRALIAN HOTELS VISITED (N.Z.P.A. Special Aust. Correspondent) (Rec. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY, Apl. 22. In their continued drive to ensure that no person escapes a fair share of the country’s war effort, Australian man-power officers have recently made a series of raids on luxury restaurants and 'hotel lounges. On Wednesday afternoon an officer visited the lounges in Sydney’s three leading hotels. As a result 300 men and women were ordered to report to the National Service Office for interviews.
