LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

Maori Hill Branch.—Mrs W. Sharp presided. Members were invited to attend the evening service at the Presbyterian Church on Mother’s Day, and were asked to support the Dug-out on June 11. An address was given by the Rev. Frank de Lisle on motherhood. An item by the glee circle and songs by Mrs Longworth were much enjoyed, the accompanists being Mesdames Walmsley and Dixon. Helpful thoughts were given by Mrs Heppelthwaite and Mrs Wilson. Central Branch—Mrs M. G. Black presided. Mrs G. H. Seddon (provincial president) gave a talk on “ Obligations as Citizens and as League Members.”
