After being 51 runs behind on the first innings, the North Island beat the South Island by 45 runs in the air force cricket match, which was concluded to-day. Scores:—North Island: First innings, 170; second innings, 221 (Dustin 49, Churchill 35, Parkin not out 63; Mackav three for 39 Bird three for 37). South Island; First innings, 221 for seven wickets (declared : second innings, 125 (C. Kerr 39; Metcalf five for 42, Lemin five for 31).
