YUNNAN PROVINCE
JAPANESE RETREATING (Rec. 10 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Mar. 14. The Japanese forces in the Yunnan province are retreating toward their main base at Tengyueh, after being driven from several more points on the west bank of the Salween, says the United Press. In central China, the enemy drive across the Yangtse has not made any progress in the past 24 hours.
